Hermann has an extensive background in marketing and branding, spending the first 10 years of his career in the classical marketing environment, leading the marketing of OTC brands at Reckitt and Colman, child care at Kimberley-Clark and the confectionary category at Nabisco.
In 2000, Hermann joined The Brand Union as Business Development Director – Africa & Middle East, based in Johannesburg before moving to Dubai to start up the Middle East operations in Dubai, 2004. Since this time, Hermann has project led many major brand initiatives across a number of sectors including Al Rajhi Bank, Tawuniya, Falcom, Tamani Hotels, Emirates Group, Limitless, Alhokair Group, and Dubai Road Transport Authority.
Born in Johannesburg, Hermann has a BSC Degree in Life Sciences from the University of Witwatersrand and is married with 2 young daughters. He serves on the Communications sub-committee of the IAA – UAE Chapter.
