Abu Dhabi Media Company strengthens its digital content creation strategy with key appointments

Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) underscores its commitment to digital content platforms with two key appointments in the digital media team. Akram Youssef takes on the role of Managing Director of super.ae, and Zoya Sakr is named Managing Director of zahramag.ae, each overseeing the editorial, operations and strategic planning for their respective brands.

“Having Akram and Zoya on board helps ensure strong and confident leadership for two of our key digital properties. Given their rich experience and exceptional drive, they will play a pivotal part in taking ADMC’s digital brands to the next stage of development”, commented Ricky Ghai, Executive Director, Digital Media at ADMC.

Youssef is an award-winning sports journalist and writer, with over twenty years of journalism experience. He has formerly served as Editor-in-Chief at Modern Sport TV, columnist for Sport magazine and Al Ahram newspaper, and desk editor at Al Ittihad. His series of over 100 articles over the last five years has garnered international accolades from FIFA and prominent media. Youssef is also the author of The Nations’ Game (لعبة الشعوب ), published in 2005.

“Super.ae is an integral part of our sports content offering and the appointment of Akram is a clear indication of how committed we are to developing the region’s premier sports entertainment portal,” explained Ghai.

“I am delighted to join such a dynamic media company which is constantly striving to be ahead of the curve. Given our exciting sports offerings, now seems to be the perfect time to expand super.ae’s presence in the digital space”, said Youssef.

Sakr is known for her unparalleled energy and creativity, and an impressive track record of driving bottom-line results. In her previous role as head of sales and marketing at Al Aan, she successfully launched the Al Aan TV channel and website, turning it into a leading regional brand for women. She brings with her a deep knowledge and understanding of the regional female audience, as well as extensive experience online – both of which are essential to the evolution of Zahrat Al Khaleej brand in the digital landscape.

“Zoya’s experience with our core audience makes her a great addition to what is already an incredibly talented team”, commented Ghai.

“It’s an absolute thrill for me to work for a brand I hold in such high regard. I couldn’t wish for a more perfect role and I am determined to turn zahramag.ae into the premier online destination for women across the Arab world”, added Sakr.
