Kuwait-based Gulfsat Communications has signed a multi-year lease for a fourth transponder on Eutelsat 8 West A, to extend its direct to home satellite broadcasting services across the Middle East and North Africa, Rapid TV News has reported. The company, which currently broadcasts over 40 television channels from the Eutelsat 8 West A, including MBC’s Al Arabiya and Al Arabiya Al Hadath, will now have long term access to the footprint provided by the satellite.
