Google Inc.’s video website, YouTube has reported a 25% increase in the past eight months in the number of online videos streamed to 4 billion daily, Reuters has reported. Around 60 hours of video is now uploaded to YouTube every minute, compared with the 48 hours of video uploaded per minute in May, the company said. The rise is the result of efforts by Google to push YouTube beyond the personal computer, with versions of the site working on smartphones and televisions, and as the company steps up efforts to offer more professional-grade content on the site.
